University of Oklahoma & Exaptive Pilot Project

Over the next 8 months, Exaptive will be working with OU libraries to conduct a pilot project in which we use the Exaptive platform to help professor Dr. Vishanoff analyze a wide range of bibliographic data sources in order to map out and explore different chains of discourse that appear in the literature. This pilot project will serve 4 goals: It will train the library sciences team in the use of Exaptive's tools for creating data-focused applications, it will provide Dr. Vishanoff a much-needed tool for analysis of discourse, it will develop a framework for bibliographic research that can be of use to others at OU, and it will lay the groundwork for the development of an OU "cognitive network" that can be used to facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration.
